Supporting You with Online and In-Person Therapy for Burnout, Grief, Parenting & Relationship Challenges.

Marilyn Awoyomi, Ontario-based Registered Social Worker providing virtual therapy

Hello,

I’m Marilyn, a Registered Social Worker and mom of two, living in Toronto. I have over 15 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate the complexities of mental health, addiction, and life’s challenges.

I’m here to listen to your story, understand your needs, and provide a safe space to explore what’s weighing on you. I specialize in helping clients navigate parenting challenges, burnout, grief and loss, relationship issues, major life transitions, and the impacts of addiction within families. Whether you’re feeling stuck, seeking deeper self-understanding, working through difficulties in your relationship, or wanting to better understand and cope with a loved one’s addiction, I am committed to offering compassionate care and practical strategies.

With a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive approach, I offer online and in-person therapy for clients across Ontario. Together, we’ll explore your strengths, reframe unhelpful patterns, and empower you to make meaningful, lasting changes - so you can live a more balanced and fulfilling life.

Let’s take the first step toward healing and growth, wherever you are in your journey.

Change is possible. I’m here to listen, motivate you and equip you with the skills to create meaningful growth.

How I Can Help

  • I support individuals facing challenges such as anxiety, grief, stress, low mood, addiction, low self-esteem, and life transitions like parenting and job loss. Through a compassionate and collaborative approach, I’ll help you build coping strategies, strengthen resilience, and create positive change in your life.

  • I have expertise working with family members who are concerned about the substance use of someone they love. I help families understand addiction, improve their own self-care, and set healthy boundaries.

  • I support couples in strengthening their connection by improving communication, rebuilding trust, and working through challenges with care and understanding. Together, we focus on deepening intimacy, resolving conflict, and creating lasting positive change.
